Bangalore,Nov 14 (PTI) A narcotics smuggler, who escaped from custody in Gujarat two years ago, has been arrested here, police said today. In 2010, Fayaz Ahmad Rasool Sheikh (41), a native of Mumbai was arrested by Narcotics Control Bureau there, for smuggling affidrin, a narcotic drug, a city crime branch statement said. On February 2 this year,he managed to escape from custody from Bharuch, Gujarat where he was admitted to civil hospital for treatment of an illness. He was handed over to the Bharuch police by the CCB after his arrest yesterday. In another case, a CCB team arrested a seven-member gang of dacoits while they were allegedly hatching a plan to commit dacoity. PTI BH BN MVV
