Bharti Airtel top gainer, spurts 5% amid volumes

Bharti Airtel , the biggest telecom operator in India, was the top gainer on Tuesday, rising more than five percent intraday amid high volumes.

In morning trade, about 2,77,451 equity shares have changed hands at Rs 334 a share via block deal, which was worth Rs 9.27 crore.

At 14:08 hours IST, the stock jumped 5.02 percent to Rs 345.20 on National Stock Exchange.

Trading volumes increased 42 percent to 48,08,116 equity shares as against five day average of 33,85,937 shares.
 
In the previous trading session (Monday), the share advanced 1.08 percent to close at Rs 328.70.
