Dr Reddys Labs Q3 profit falls 29% to Rs 363.3 cr

Healthcare firm Dr Reddy's Labs ' consolidated net profit fell by 29.2 percent (lower-than-expected) year-on-year to Rs 363.3 crore in the third quarter of financial year 2012-13.

However, consolidated revenues increased 3.5 percent to Rs 2,865.1 crore from Rs 2,769.2 crore during the same period.

Analysts on an average were expecting net profit at Rs 428 crore on revenues of Rs 2,913 crore for the quarter.

Consolidated earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) dropped 40 percent to Rs 453 crore from Rs 754.7 crore YoY. Operating profit margin plunged quite significantly to 15.8 percent as against 27.2 percent YoY and expectations of 21 percent.

At 14:18 hours IST, shares went down 1 percent to Rs 1,885 on Bombay Stock Exchange.
