Mutual Funds gain led by robust markets performance

It was an excellent week for Mutual Funds as schemes across categories remained in the positive terrain for the entire week. The steady upmove in the domestic market clubbed with positive global cues kept equity mutual funds on the toes generating positive returns.

As the market closed for the week, investors returned home with big gains on Friday. The Sensex soared 269.69 points or 1.39% at 19683.23 while the Nifty closed at 5945.70 up 82.40 points or 1.41%.

The funds in the Fixed Income domain as well advanced registering no decline in any of its categories. The debt market, however, will keenly watch over inflation and IIP data scheduled to announce next week which will further decide market course ahead.
