Shares of Bharti Airtel , the country's largest telecom operator, gained nearly 4 percent in afternoon trade Thursday on news that the company will increase call rates.
The telecom operator will raise call rates on select Delhi post-paid plans on September 8, reports CNBC-TV18 quoting agencies.
According to reports, Bharti will increase rate by 10 paise per minute on calls to own network and raise rate by 30 paise per minute on calls to other networks.
At 13:35 hours IST, the stock was quoting at Rs 338.40, up 3.72 percent on the BSE.
