Sandeep Shenoy of Anand Rathi Financial Services is of the view that one may be cautious on State Bank of India in the short to medium term.

Sandeep Shenoy of Anand Rathi Financial Services told CNBC-TV18, "I think the systemic woes of the banking sector have still not come to the fore and State Bank of India (SBI) being the crown jewel in the sector obviously will have to take pain of the entire sector and it has been taking that both on operational front as well as on the stock price front."

"We are of the opinion that this sector is still not out of woods and one has to be mindful about the pain of the sector coming into SBI's balance sheet. So one will have to be careful about this stock in the short to medium-term," he added.
