Sudarshan Sukhani of s2analytics.com told CNBC-TV18, "Infrastructure stocks are best avoided for this time. There is a lot of speculation and rumors and lot of price jacking is being done. The only stock I can suggest is worth buying into is Larsen and Toubro  (L&T). It is broadly infrastructure but is something you should be having in your portfolio."

At 14:06 hrs Larsen and Toubro was quoting at Rs 1,294.95, down Rs 4.60, or 0.35 percent. It has touched an intraday high of Rs 1,313.65 and an intraday low of Rs 1,290.50.

The share touched its 52-week high Rs 1,387.85 and 52-week low Rs 678.10 on 23 April, 2014 and 28 August, 2013, respectively. Currently, it is trading 6.69 percent below its 52-week high and 90.97 percent above its 52-week low. Market capitalisation stands at Rs 120,046.57 crore.
