Seventy-eighty percent of issues related to the road sector have been resolved, while 40 unviable projects have been terminated, is the word coming in from road minister Nitin Gadkari. He says road projects worth Rs 1.4 lakh crore have been cleared. Only 26 projects are stuck due to several reasons, he adds.
However, he will be moving the Cabinet to discuss the revival of these 26 projects. 16-20 projects can be revived after Cabinet intervention, he adds.

An expert panel led by Cabinet secretary will mull model concessionare agreement revision. He has consulted concessionare bankers for Model Concession Agreement (MCA) and the new MCA document on road sector will be ready in a month.
