Equity Mutual Funds closed in a positive terrain as the Sensex continued its gaining streak on Friday to hit a life-time high of 21293.88 on Friday, shrugging off concerns about the weakness in the economy. Among equity funds, Index funds emerged as the star performer, while all other funds in equity domain advanced registering few decline.

On the sector funds, barring Technology all the other categories were in line with markets positive sentiment.

The Sensex closed at 21196.81, up 32.29 points and the Nifty closed at 6307.20, up 8.05 points.

The fixed income funds, however, remained under pressure on Friday as the government bonds yields edged higher with the benchmark 10-year bond yield 3 bps higher at 8.65 per cent.
