The CBI has served a fresh summon to the former bureaucrat for appearing on May 1, 2014 as he had expressed his inability to appear on April 25.
Former coal secretary PC Parakh, who has been booked for allegedly abusing his official position to grant a coal block to Hindalco , will be appearing before the CBI today.
The CBI has served a fresh summon to the former bureaucrat for appearing on May 1, 2014 as he had expressed his inability to appear on April 25.
It has been alleged that PC Parakh had entered into a criminal conspiracy with Kumar Mangalam Birla, the chief of Aditya Birla Group, some officials of Hindalo and that of the Coal Ministry for granting coal blocks in Orissa to Hindalco. For this purpose he is being questioned by the CBI.
The CBI has already questioned TK Nair from the prime minister's office and also Dasari Narayana Rao who was the former minister of state for coal.
At this point of time it is not clear what questions will be asked to PC Parakh is not clear at this point of time. However, Parakh has contested the allegations of CBI and in fact he has published a book.
